The aim of TIERRAS is to forge a permanent partnership with a group of European regional authorities firmly committed to experimental telematics services in their social and economicaldevelopment policies. At its core is the integration, monitoring and validation of inter-related cross-sector teleservices for private citizens and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the regions concerned. European added value will be secured by a regional forum for successful implementation and strategic development. TIERRAS combines a top-down approach in its regional policy links with regular feedback from user groups.
